When will Welnys use the legacy system vs. the new system?

Since we've announced our product relaunch in May of 2021, we're in the process of migrating providers over to the new system. While this is ongoing, sometimes we need to still use our old system. Here's what to expect, and when.

Old system

The old system will still be used if you have not yet created your listings on the Welnys Marketplace, and our Concierge needs to book you "offline."

The old system means that a Welnys Concierge will coordinate your bookings with you and the client and you will receive an SOW. The Concierge will arrange pre-event calls and ask for your collateral and slide decks, and will perform 48 hour check ins. The Concierge may also be on hand on event day to make sure things run smoothly. Finally, the Concierge will ask for feedback from you and the client. You will be paid monthly via GigWage (see How Do I Get Paid?). Welnys TV content creators will also still be paid via GigWage.

New system

The new system will be used if you have created your listings on the Welnys Marketplace.

How the new system works:
  1. Clients will communicate with you and book you directly 
  2. You are paid automatically upon the job being marked as completed, via Stripe
  3. You are responsible for all communications with your client, and for distributing collateral 
  4. Feedback is automatically promoted for you and your client in the marketplace

Hybrid system

Some clients have paid additionally for Welnys Concierge Service, in which case the Welnys team will use the hybrid system if you have a marketplace listing.

How the hybrid system works:
  1. The Welnys team will book you directly on the marketplace on behalf of our client, and will communicate with you. You should view Welnys as your client in this case.
  2. Welnys is responsible for communications with the client, and for distributing collateral that you provide
  3. Welnys will arrange calls, check-ins and feedback
  4. The Concierge may also be on hand on event day to make sure things run smoothly. 
  5. You will not get an SOW
  6. You will be paid via Stripe through the marketplace as soon as the job is complete
