Understanding the Live Stream Event

Understanding the Live Stream Event

If you have been selected as a vendor for a garten TV Livestream event, here are some things you will want to know about the process:
  1. You will be given a Zoom meeting link to join and the actual event itself will be no different to you than any other Zoom-based event, except that we will be live-streaming it to garten TV.
  2. Note that there is 30-60 seconds of latency between what you say and what is live streamed.  This is the total time it takes from content to travel from the lens of the camera to the viewer's screen.  This is done so that the slightest interruption in the internet connection won't cause your livestream to disconnect or have near constant buffering.  Latency time depends on numerous factors, including but not limited to: internet connection strength and proximity to the nearest POP ingest point.
  3. Live chat will be enabled.  A Welnys team member will monitor live chats.  If you are unable to attend to live chats while doing your live stream, let the Welnys team member know that you will answer Q+A at the end and they will collect the questions for you.
  4. You cannot play any music or media.  The livestream platform is not fast enough to process this kind of media, the quality will not be good enough to show your viewers.
  5. Welnys will be paying you a flat rate for your live stream event, and Welnys will own the rights to the video output of your live stream which will be made available on-demand on the Welnys TV platform (behind a paywall).  You will, however, still get royalties on replays of the on-demand video pursuant to the Welnys TV licensing agreement.
  6. You will be paid via the usual Welnys payment methods outlined in this FAQ article.
